Yankee Stadium

If you ask a New Yorker what are the best things about New York City, you’re bound to get quite a few answers involving our local superstar sports teams, specifically our Major League Baseball team: the Yankees. New Yorkers love baseball so much, that the word Yankee has become synonymous with New Yorker, and our city’s baseball team has become emblematic of the greatness of the city itself. This is no surprise, when we are home to one of the most iconic and biggest professional baseball enterprises in the world! Our home team is so cherished, they have been given a huge and monumental stadium: Yankee Stadium. Whether or not you are a huge baseball fan, it is definitely worth paying a visit to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, just to witness the rich history of NYC baseball. Even if you aren’t a HUGE sports fan, you’re guaranteed to enjoy a Yankee Game, if only because of the awesome, celebratory atmosphere that you’ll encounter watching a Yankee game at Yankee Stadium, or the great feeling of being a part of sports history. If nothing else, a visit you Yankee Stadium will take you to the Bronx, a fun and colorful part of New York City. A brand new Yankee Stadium was just recently built and opened, only a block away from the original stadium. The original one is still there, too, so if you go to a Yankee game you can stop and is it the older stadium, now named Heritage Field. Most importantly: the best hotdogs in New York City are said to be the ones sold at Yankee Stadium.
