The Pavilion

The Pavilion 20 Union Square West
The Pavilion is a seasonal dining facility, recently opened right in the heart of Union Square. Literally stationed in the middle of the square, the restaurant offers outdoor, open-air seating, placing restaurant goers in the middle of the bustling square for a totally unique dining experience that juxtaposes the relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant with the business of one of the most active locations in the city: Union Square. Because it only offers outdoor seating, the restaurant is only open in the warmer seasons and closes for the cold months. The restaurant’s decorations include faux palm trees, which lend a slightly ironic tropical feeling to the restaurant, which is otherwise surrounded by concrete and brick. Making it even more Union Square-centric, the restaurant sources its ingredients directly from Union Square’s Greenmarket, meaning the menu is mostly local, organic, farm-to-table food- and you can taste the freshness! Aside from the restaurant, The Pavilion has a wonderful outdoor bar, where local young professionals gather after work to enjoy great, hand-crafted cocktails while the sun goes down over Manhattan. The Pavilion offers a one-of-a-kind NYC dining experience.
