Found in the former house of Henry Clay Frick, one of the most wealthy New Yorkers in the early 1900s New York, the Frick Collection is a small but prestigious art museum worthy of a visit. Through 6 galleries of old master classic paintings, sculpture, porcelain and furniture you can visit Frick’s collection as it was on his death, as well as with the updates made by his daughter Helen Clay Frick. Numerous well-known European artists can be found, including Jean-Honore Fragonard’s ‘The Progress of Love’ and Johannes Vermeer’s ‘Mistress and Maid’. Art buffs shouldn’t miss also the Frick Art Reference Library nearby.
