Tao

TAO is an awesome restaurant and lounge known for it’s calming, beautiful atmosphere and its gourmet asian food. Upon entering, you into a romantically lit, spacious and yet cozy space with waterfalls trickling through the walls at the entrance. The old Palace movie house has been transformed into a mystical place where you can mingle with celebrities, sip creative cocktails and treat yourself to top quality thai cuisine gazing at the fountains, koi pond and the giant 16-foot buddha that watches over the restaurant. If you have a party, you can reserve the “sky box,” a private room that used to be the projection booth in the theater, where you can eat privately and look out over the beautiful restaurant. TAO is perfect for a date or an outing with friends on any occasion, and has something for everyone. There’s a great prix fix dinner, and delicacies on the menu like peking duck for two, and wasabi-crusted filet mignon. The scene is fun, the service super friendly, and the food is great.
