South Street SeaPort

South Street Seaport is a stretch of waterside entertainment and revelry comprising Piers 15, 16 and 17. The seaport is a historic part of Manhattan and a designated historic district, and includes some of the oldest architecture in NYC including a lot of restored historic buildings and ships, as well as the Fulton Fish Market. In modern times, a commerce center has been built with good and nightlife with beautiful views of the water. You can visit South Street Seaport and feel like you’ve been transported to Old New York, visiting the South Street Seaport Museum, where you’ll see a 19th century print shop, an interactive maritime museum and library, a fleet of old ships and more. At night, enjoy the super mall that has been built. There are pop-up shops in shipping containers, and food and drink including Beekman Beergarden Beach Club. There is also a big farmers market, and the NY Water Taxi launches from here every 4 minutes or so, to see the Statue of Liberty. Come hang out at South Street Seaport and you’ll learn be immersed in history and fun at the same time.
