The Museum of Modern Art, nicknamed The MoMa, is yet another world famous museum that calls Manhattan’s Midtown home. Located on the West Side on 53rd Street between 4th and 5th Avenues, the museum draws fans from all over the city with its world renowned and always growing collection of modern and contemporary art. The Museum’s collection includes design, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, film and electronic media. Always growing with the times, The Museum is constantly putting on great new shows and exhibits that are buzzed about around the world. The MoMa is great whether you’re an artist, designer, or just a fan of all things aesthetically pleasing. You might enjoy exhibits showing some of the 21st centuries most accomplished and original photographers, or you can get lost in the wonderful and colorful mind of Andy Warhol, whose prints are on display. Among the Museum’s 150,0000 original pieces, you can come face to face with original modern masterpieces, including Picasso, Monet, Matisse and van Gogh! There is a beautiful zen garden on the roof of the museum, as well as a few dining establishments where you can sit, sip coffee or enjoy a meal while you let the art sink in. Enjoy a meal at the museum’s fine dining establishment The Modern, or something more casual at one of the two cafes. It’s open daily from 10:30-5:30 and admission is $25 for adults.
