Guggenheim Museum of New York

1071 5th Ave, New York, NY 10128
Offering an impressive permanent selection of impressionists, post-impressionists, early modern and contemporary art, along with a diverse range of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, the Guggenheim in New York is not just an astounding architectural feet. Established in 1939 as the Museum of Non-Objective Painting, the white cylindrical architecture, encompassing a broad spiraling ramp which leads through the exhibition, was designed to portray a ‘temple of the spirit’ and houses its collection under a large natural skylight through the centre of the building. The impressive collection housed here is shared with its equally impressive sister museum in Bilboa, Spain.
